Every time I go on these trips, I come back feeling refreshed and calm, with a new perspective on what is important in my life. I love sharing these experiences with others and hope you will consider joining us. -John ________________ This journey is for anyone looking to connect with themselves, others, and the world we live in. The 2022 Connection Kayak Journey to the astonishing Nootka Sound on the West coast of Vancouver Island will focus on connecting you to your own life journey: Where have I gone on my life journey? Who have I become as a person? What path do I desire to take moving forward? While much of the curriculum is written on an individual level, there will also be group work where you will have an opportunity to share with and receive from others on this shared journey. Come prepared to spend solo time to discover your life journey, as well as group "circle" time where we share our discoveries with others. So often, we learn about ourselves by connecting with other people's experiences and benefit from their insights into our own. _______________ Your lead guide will be John, who loves helping people get away from the routine stresses and prioritizing time for reflection and personal growth. Morgan McKusick from New Tides Counselling and Wellness will be leading the group sessions on this trip. We find that having a Registered Clinical Counsellor on these journeys gives space for a lot of personal growth for our participants. EJ will be your assistant guide, and sees kayaking as a way to connect with people. EJ enjoys sharing the natural beauty as well as the relaxation that comes with spending time on the water. _______________ We will meet at Cougar Creek at 3 pm on July 14th where we will spend our first evening getting to know one another and getting used to our equipment (Limited carpooling from Vancouver is available on a first-come basis). The following morning we will launch our kayaks and head out for four more wonderful days of kayaking, reflecting, and connecting with ourselves and our world in an uninterrupted sanctuary. We will return to Cougar Creek by 3pm on Monday, July 18th. All of the food, kayaking and camping gear will be provided. Participants only need to bring toiletries, clothing, and an open heart for the journey. A full packing list and itinerary will be sent to you upon registering. Cancellation Policy

To cancel a course, journey, or rental, please contact us via email at tidaljourneys@gmail.com Cancellations made at least 60 days in advance will be given a full refund minus a $10 booking fee. Cancellations made at least 30 days in advance will be given a full refund minus $100. Cancellations made less than 7 days in advance will not receive a refund. Please note that any cancellations due to COVID-19 will be fully reimbursed.
